Soviet Scorpion Submarine B-427 Tour, Long Beach, Los Angeles

It's a memorable moments for me to be able to participate in the self-guided tour to visit Russian Scorpion Submarine, which is also known as Scorpion Podvodnaya Lodka Project 641 (B-427) Diesel Electric Submarine for the code name. The Russian Scorpion Submarine has converted into the museum vessel to attract the visitors to visit and know more about the Cold War Warrior.

Currently, the Scorpion Submarine is parked next to the legendary and haunted Queen Mary's Cruise Ship at Long Beach in Los Angeles.

The ticket costs at US$10.95 per person. The whole self-guided tour of the Scorpion Submarine takes about 30 minutes, which is cheaper than taking a tour to Queen Mary's Cruise Ship with limited access to visit.

It's strongly advisable to put on pants with your flat and comfortable shoes as you have to walk through the steep stairs and climb through the subs or circular holes on the walls. It's a narrow and cramped crew quarters so you must look out for the pipes and wires above your head.

For more information of the Russian Scorpion Submarine tour, please visit this official website here.

Battleship USS IOWA Museum Ship, Los Angeles, California, USA

I am not a big fan of machine guns, battleships or aircraft carrier but it might be an exciting trip for a person like me, being the first time visitor touring around the real museum ships in order to visit and learn more about the historic battleship which served and fought for the country. It is also an opportunity to understand their lifestyle and working environment for the army in the sea. Sometimes, you are lucky to get to hear some interesting stories from the veterans who are working at the museum ship.

We make a road trip to the South of California in order to visit these two famous historical museum ships in Los Angeles and San Diego. It is highly advisable for visitors to wear flat shoes and pants while touring the museum ships as you are required to walk up and down through narrow lanes and steep steps. The whole self touring around the museum ship takes about four hours so, it is crucial for the visitors to wear comfortably.

Battleship USS IOWA BB-61 is the most recent museum ship which moves to its permanent home at Los Angeles harbour. Battleship USS IOWA Bb-61 museum opens to the public on 4th July 2012.

Battleship USS IOWA BB-61 is the most memorable battleship which served in the Atlantic Ocean during World War II. President Franklin D. Roosevelt even traveled onboard with this battleship across the Atlantic to Casablanca. There was a special bathtub built for Roosevelt along with an elevator to shuttle him between decks.

The Battleship USS IOWA BB-61 was officially retired in 1990, after serving 50 years of service in four war zones.

For more information about the visiting hours and price of a ticket, please visit the official website here

Heineken Experience Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands

When someone mentions about traveling to Amsterdam in Netherlands, most people connect the city of Amsterdam with the popular icons of Tulip and Windmill, cycling and cruising along the Canals, Red Light District as well as the famous old fishing village of Volendam where you find many locals in their Dutch traditional costumes in this lovely small fishing port of Volendam.

However, most of us did not realize that Heineken is originated and produced by a Dutch brewing company called, Heineken International. Heineken International is located in the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. If you are planning for a trip to Amsterdam, do take this golden opportunity to visit and experience the process of brewing the famous Heineken beer at Heineken Experience Museum which is located next to Heineken Brewery Factory. It is not a typical museum but it is designed in fun interactive experience for the visitors in order to understand more about the process of brewing the beer during the tour at the museum. Hence, I get to know the company better and begin to enjoy drinking Heineken beer after the visit.

Heineken Experience Museum is open everyday from Monday through Sunday from 11am to 7:30pm. Currently, the ticket fee is € 17.00 per person if you purchase the ticket at the entrance of Heineken Experience Museum. However, there will be a discount of € 2.00 per person if you purchase the ticket through the official website.

To learn more, please visit the official website of Heineken Experience here:
