Washington DC & Metro Subway Introduction

Traveling to the United States of America won't be completed without visiting the Government Administration Buildings in Washington DC.

It is not difficult to travel around Washington DC by taking the cheapest and reliable public transportation like, Metro Subway Train (or also known as Rail) which connects you directly from Ronald Reagon National Airport to all attraction sites including, museums within the capital of Washington DC.

Majority of the museums and zoo in Washington DC, are funded by Smithsonian Institution so they are open to public for free visit throughout the year. Most of the attraction sites including The White House are always crowded with visitors except the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas festive seasons as many of the Americans are flying home for these celebrations.

To learn more about the map of Metro Subway Stations, you can retrieve it from this link: http://www.wmata.com/rail/docs/colormap_lettersize.pdf while you can find more details about the operating hours and ticket prices from this official website: http://www.wmata.com/index.cfm?forcedesktop=1

When you are looking for accommodation, it is highly advisable to stay within Dupont Circle neighbourhood as most of the eateries or restaurants open until late at night while the restaurants and shopping malls are close by 6pm in the downtown of Washington DC as many of the government offices and attraction sites are open at 8:30am and close at 5pm. There are many luxury and affordable hotels such as The Embassy Row, The Fairfax, Sofitel Washington DC etc. can be found within Dupont Circle neighbourhood. Beside that, Dupont Circle is an upper middle class neighbourhood where most of embassy offices are situated there thus, it is safe to walk around.
