Smithsonian Museum American History, Washington DC

National Museum of American History is another museum funded by Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C, USA. The National Museum of American History wasn't my main choice to visit, mainly because of the name.   I always presume that learning the historical facts is dull but the National Museum of American History has changed my perception. I never realise that sometimes, it can be interactive as we are able to learn the facts and see the actual models from the early days at National Museum of American History.

I was very shocked to know that people used to have smaller frames and thinner than our current generation. You can easily notice the different sizes of the packed food, trolley (shopping cart), clothing, home furniture as well as the narrow seating of the old public transportation in the early days from the museum.

National Museum of American History is situated next to the famous National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. It is open for free to public every day from 10am to 5pm except on the public holidays such as Thanksgivings and Christmas Day.
