Sun Moon Lake Temples for Blessings in Taiwan (Part 2)

Apart from enjoying the lake view and nature scenery at Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan, you should take this opportunity to visit Wenwu Temple and Xuanzang Temple to make a blessing wish. Wenwu Temple is devoted to the God of Literature, the God of war and Confucious while Xuanzang Temple is devoted to worship the remains of the monk Xuanzang and the golden Sakyamuni Buddha.

i) Xuanzang Temple:
Monk Xuanzang was the Holy Monk during the Tang dynasty. During the China-Japan War, Japanese took the Monk Xuanzang's remains away from Nanching to the Tsen Temple of Saidama Ken in Japan before the Monk Xuanzang's remains were returned back to the Xuanguang Temple in 1955. The Monk Xuanzang's remains were transferred to the Xuanzang Temple in 1965 after this temple was built.

ii) Wenwu Temple:
Wenwu Temple is situated at the shoulder of mountain and facing the North of the famous attraction, Sun Moon Lake. Wenwu Temple was built in 1938 as a contingency plan to protect from the flood disaster which may destroy Longfeng Temple and Ihuatang of Shuishotsun. Wenwu Temple represents both Longfeng Temple and Ihuatang as one temple. The visitors pray the Civil Saint of Confucious, the Military Saint of Guangong and the Established God of two temples at Wenwu Temple. They also make wishes and tie the gold bells on wrought-iron ladders.

Taiwan Sun Moon Lake, a stunning landscape view (Part 1)

Sun Moon Lake is the largest and most beautiful lake in Taiwan. This is the main reason why Sun Moon Lake becomes the top and most visited by the tourists and locals in Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake is also known as a "honeymoon lake" and a "lover's lake" where many couples come all the way to Sun Moon Lake for their wedding photos at Xiangshan Administration, Lakeside Trail, Shuishe Pier, Matchmaker Temple in Longfeng Temple and Maolan Mountail Trail.

Sun Moon Lake is derived from the shape of the lake where on the Eastern part of the lake looks like a round sun while on the Western part looks like a crescent moon. Sun Moon Lake is a really beautiful, peaceful and elegant landscapes, similar to what you have seen in a Chinese landscape painting. You will be amazed to the nature beauty of the blue clear sky, stunning lake and greenery mountains. It is very stunning landscape to the extend, you should stay at Sun Moon Lake for two days in order to enjoy the fresh air and serene beauty of the romantic lake view with your partner and family members.

There are many activities to explore around Sun Moon Lake such as taking a walk along the trail or riding a bike along the bike trail. On top of that, you should not forget to take a boat ride around the lake while enjoying the scenic lake view. To me, this is second gorgeous lake that I had visited besides, Lake Tahoe in the United States of America

Sun Moon Lake is situated about three hours drive to the South from Taipei capital in Taiwan. There is no direct train to reach Sun Moon Lake unless, you are willing to take the trouble to travel on public buses, where you may need to get down and transfer to different buses in between of your journey before arriving at the destination. In order to save more time and enjoy your fullest vacation during your stay at Taiwan, you should consider to take Sun Moon Lake Tour Package from the local tour travel agencies. Most of the tour packages are included with the transportation and accommodation hence, you don't have to feel stress dealing with all the arrangement over there. In my case, we booked 3-Day Alishan and Sun Moon Lake tour with Edison Tours and we really satisfied with their services as well as the hotels arrangement which met our expectation level.
